U.S. Divorce Rates for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Marriages

What are the U.S. divorce rates for 1st, 2nd and 3rd marriages? I am asked this question all the time. According to Psychology Today, "Past statistics have shown that 50% of first marriages, 67% of second marriages, and 73% of third marriages end in divorce." What are the reasons?
